Rain kiss September 27, 2002, 10:43 a.m. I forgot my raincoat, so the water slowly seeped into the heavy fabric of my sweatshirt. I didn't mind so much, though, because he put his arm around my shoulder as we walked, protecting me from cold and damp the best he could. The rain made the air indistinct, and far objects lost their edges in the mist. Under a streetlamp, light danced on the pavement. It was impossible to avoid all the puddles, so I stopped trying. The water ran over the tops of my sandles and left a damp grittiness on the soles of my feet. I shivered a little and snuggled closer under his arm. He bent his face down to mine, and our lips brushed. We kiss so easily, now - little quick stolen kisses whenever we meet or pass on campus. I don't know which touched my face more lightly or naturally, the raindrops or his kiss.
